AECOM is hiring a Senior Project Manager - Mining

Responsibilities

  • Lead diverse engineering and delivery teams with a mix of on-site and remote personnel.
  • Apply innovative thinking and sound judgment to resolve technical, operational, and client-related challenges across all project phases.
  • Oversee compliance with contract terms across engineering projects of varying scale and complexity.
  • Develop comprehensive project work plans, engineering budgets, and detailed schedules for studies, design, and construction phases.
  • Track project performance in cost, timeline, and quality, implementing corrective measures when required.
  • Facilitate project meetings, ensure prompt documentation of minutes, and promote productive outcomes.
  • Guide technical staff and contribute to the development of deliverables including reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for mining sites, port facilities, material handling systems, waste management, and mechanical systems.
  • Oversee the creation of project documentation and control processes.
  • Actively manage project scope and change control in alignment with organizational standards and project goals.
  • Supervise the development of milestone-based project deliverables using logical project development frameworks and clear, concise technical writing.
  • Support professional growth within the team by mentoring staff and identifying emerging talent.
  • Collaborate with business and regional leaders to meet internal project and proposal governance requirements.
  • Engage with clients to develop sustainable, long-term project solutions.
