Responsibilities
- Lead a high-impact squad within the Core Data group to build the next generation of real-time sports infrastructure.
- Develop the foundational 'data highway' and 'insight engine' that powers the future of Hudl’s live products.
- Ensure event data, tracking data, and machine learning-generated moments move seamlessly from the cloud to a coach's iPad in seconds.
- Solve the 'massive data' problem by turning complex, high-concurrency streams into a clean, unified feed.
- Work with engineers and product managers across College & Professional and Youth, Club & High School business units to understand roadblocks and support integration of new capabilities.
- Act as a bridge enabling Applied Machine Learning teams to deliver automated insights at a global scale.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience with a focus on high-scale data systems or APIs.
- Treat technical platform as a product, prioritizing the experience of internal developers who build on top of your work.
- Expertise in internal evangelism, creating 'paved roads' for other teams, writing clear documentation, and supporting adoption of new data architectures.
- Ability to navigate deep technical conversations about real-time streaming and latency while also explaining technological benefits to non-technical stakeholders.
- User-centric and empathetic mindset, with passion for making raw data useful, reliable, and fast enough to influence a game in real-time.
- Skilled at managing complex dependencies, protecting team focus, and meeting critical needs of Applied Machine Learning, College & Professional, and Youth, Club & High School teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with real-time streaming technologies like AWS Kinesis or similar message-bus architectures.
- Knowledge of the applied machine learning lifecycle and experience working alongside data scientists to build required data pipelines.
- Personal or professional connection to sports and understanding of the pressure coaches face during live competition.

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is displayed below—starting salaries will typically fall near the middle of this range. This role will also be eligible for a long-term incentive (LTI) award. Any bonuses awarded are based on individual and company performance paid at Hudl's discretion.
