Renew Home is hiring a Senior Product Designer to bring our mission to life by designing consumer-facing features from concept to launch. You will need to quickly grasp technical requirements and map complex flows, merged with a flair for storytelling and crafting elegant, engaging interfaces.
What You'll Do
- Own the design of new features and enhancements from ideation to launch, ensuring a cohesive and engaging user experience.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to inform the product roadmap, feature definition, and technical feasibility.
- Independently create product design deliverables including user flows, information architecture, wireframes, concept mock-ups, prototypes, and production-ready designs.
- Present and clearly articulate design decisions and rationale to various audiences, including Renew Home leadership and external partners.
- Advocate for our users by keeping user needs and the holistic user journey top-of-mind.
- Plan and conduct user research to test hypotheses and design solutions, synthesizing learnings and translating them into actionable design updates.
- Contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure consistency and efficiency across products.
- Fuel our design team culture by participating in team-wide critiques, and helping the team keep up with best practices and trends.
- Help evolve our processes by collaborating on operational improvements and exploring new design tools and resources, including AI-powered tools.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or a similar role, with a portfolio showcasing your design process and impact.
- Track record of collaborating with Product Managers and Engineering partners to ship successful product experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to design simple solutions to complex technical requirements, aligning designs to user needs and business goals.
- Systems-thinker with ability to visualize the larger system your work fits into via flows, information architecture, and user journeys.
- Work that demonstrates a care for storytelling and crafting a cohesive UX narrative.
- Passion for creative ideation and exploring a wide range of bold solutions.
- Strong visual design sensibility.
- Fluency in Figma to design and prototype your ideas.
- Self-directed, with the ability to break work into manageable deliverables across the design process.
- Excellent communication skills, able to articulate design rationale clearly and react to real-time feedback diplomatically.
- Low ego, holds strong opinions loosely, collaborative, proactive, and loves learning.
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating AI-powered tools into your workflow, excitement to keep trying and evangelizing new tools.
- Knowledge of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Proficiency in writing UX copy as part of the design process.
- Experience utilizing and contributing to design systems.
- Knowledge of user research approaches, with the ability to plan, execute, and synthesize studies.
- Experience at scaling organizations, start-ups, or digital design agencies.

- Compensation: $175k - $205k
