Kota is hiring a Senior Product Designer to define how platforms, businesses, and employees experience insurance and benefits through embedded user interfaces. This is a foundational design leadership role where you will shape strategy, craft design systems, and ensure exceptional quality across all integration touchpoints. What You'll Do
- Shape how platforms, businesses, and their employees experience insurance and benefits through embedded UIs.
- Drive design strategy for Kota's products.
- Create and enhance design systems for health and life insurers.
- Ensure embedded products deliver exceptional experiences across all integration touchpoints.
- Work across the developer products group to create features and experiences that enhance all integrations.
- Guide and develop the existing designer while building the design culture for the growing team.
- Lead design decisions from strategy through execution with real responsibility from day one.
What We're Looking For
- A track record in product design of delivering compelling customer experiences across the whole product experience.
- The foundations to mould a design strategy for products, making decisions that impact how hundreds of thousands of people access insurance and retirement.
- An ability to think holistically about user experiences to simplify and unify complex, fragmented product experiences into a coherent and trustworthy journey.
- Comfort in working at pace and being able to pivot direction based on fresh company strategies and initiatives.
- Proven experience creating, maintaining, and scaling design systems and thinking in ways to create reusable patterns and components across each product.
- A portfolio of design work that demonstrates solving customer problems, designing systems around complex requirements, and delivering creative product ideas.
- Well established sync and async communication and presentation skills to align stakeholders across business, compliance and product teams.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge or interest in embedded financial products.
- Knowledge or interest in fintech, financial services, insurance, or benefits platforms.
- Knowledge or interest in developer product experiences, understanding of how to design for technical users and embedded/integration-heavy products.
Team & Environment
You will be joining early, working with one existing product designer to form the core of the design function. As part of the design team, you'll work closely with that designer and the broader product team.
