Emma – The Sleep Company is hiring a Senior Product Category Manager

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Americas product portfolio, including range structure, SKU prioritization, and alignment with regional channels.
  • Adapt global portfolio frameworks to meet local market demands, regulatory requirements, and channel dynamics in the Americas.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of SKUs across the region, coordinating with global teams from launch to phase-out.
  • Ensure consistent and coherent product offerings across all sales channels: direct-to-consumer, marketplaces, wholesale, and retail.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams and country leads to determine optimal product assortments.
  • Maintain current range plans by country and contribute to activation timelines.
  • Lead planning and execution of product launches across the Americas, including timelines, commercial readiness, and localized messaging.
  • Equip sales, marketing, customer service, and retail teams with accurate product information and key messages ahead of each launch.
  • Coordinate local adaptations for regulations, claims, and pricing within global guidelines.
  • Lead post-launch reviews to assess sell-through, return rates, NPS, and commercial outcomes.
  • Identify and escalate potential launch risks to global and commercial stakeholders.
  • Monitor weekly and monthly category performance across key markets, tracking revenue and volume trends by SKU and channel.
  • Analyze gross margin and per-SKU profitability trends to inform business decisions.
  • Track return rates and customer satisfaction scores by product and market.
  • Evaluate performance across channels, including DTC, retail, marketplace, and wholesale.
  • Identify underperforming products, portfolio gaps, and pricing issues, then lead corrective actions.
  • Develop business cases to support investment, delisting, or repositioning of products.
  • Work with Finance and Business Intelligence teams to define KPIs, dashboards, and contribution analysis.
  • Track market trends in the Americas, including category growth, channel evolution, and shifts in consumer behavior.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of competitors’ strategies in key markets, including pricing and product positioning.
  • Analyze feedback from customer service and return data to extract actionable insights.
  • Synthesize consumer reviews and online sentiment to inform product and marketing strategies.
  • Incorporate field intelligence from country managers and sales teams into strategic planning.
  • Produce regular market intelligence reports and integrate findings into global planning cycles.
  • Strengthen collaboration with country managers and commercial leaders across the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in E-commerce, category management, online merchandising, digital retail, or D2C environments.
  • Demonstrated success in growing online revenue, optimizing product categories, and leveraging data for strategic decisions.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and customer-focused mindset with effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience collaborating across functions in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Fluent in English.

  • Proficiency in Portuguese is advantageous.
