Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring data privacy and protection compliance throughout the Americas, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and internal policies.
- Perform privacy assessments, identify potential risks, and help implement mitigation strategies for new initiatives, systems, and products.
- Review, negotiate, and oversee Data Processing Agreements, privacy clauses, and third-party data protection obligations.
- Support the management of Data Subject Access Requests, privacy incidents, and data breach response procedures.
- Maintain privacy documentation, compliance records, reports, and governance activities using tools like OneTrust.
- Create and deliver privacy training and awareness programs to foster a strong data protection culture.
- Help implement AI governance frameworks, track evolving AI regulations, and promote responsible and compliant AI practices.
- Work closely with legal, business, and global privacy teams across the region to advance privacy and compliance efforts.
- Provide language support and contribute to regional and global privacy initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in privacy, compliance, governance, regulatory, or related areas.
- Strong experience in reviewing and negotiating Data Processing Agreements, contracts, and legal documents.
- Solid understanding of data privacy, personal data protection principles, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting privacy assessments, data breach response processes, and third-party risk management.
- Familiarity with privacy management tools such as OneTrust.
- Basic knowledge of AI concepts, AI governance, and emerging AI regulations.
- Experience working in multinational or regional environments.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills, with a proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams across regions.
Nice to Have
- IAPP certification (CIPP, CIPM, or equivalent) preferred.
- Portuguese and other languages are a plus.
