Responsibilities
- Lead transportation planning studies for urban and regional projects
- Develop and evaluate transport strategies and policy recommendations
- Conduct traffic and transport modeling using industry-standard software
- Support environmental assessments and sustainability initiatives
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for client and regulatory use
- Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies and community groups
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Mentor junior planning staff and contribute to team development
- Collaborate with engineers, urban designers, and environmental specialists
- Contribute to the design of active transport and public transit systems
- Analyze travel demand and forecast future transportation needs
- Support the development of transportation master plans
- Participate in public consultations and presentations
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations
- Integrate land use and transport planning principles in project work
- Apply data analysis techniques to support evidence-based planning decisions
- Assist in proposal development and business development activities
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in transportation planning
