About the Role

Responsibilities
- Evaluate power supply options and recommend cost-effective energy procurement strategies
- Lead the development and execution of energy infrastructure initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure power system reliability
- Monitor regulatory changes affecting energy usage and compliance
- Design scalable power solutions tailored to high-demand computing environments
- Perform detailed analysis of power consumption patterns and efficiency metrics
- Support negotiations with utility providers and energy partners
- Develop risk mitigation plans for power supply disruptions
- Provide technical guidance during facility planning and expansion phases
- Ensure alignment of power systems with sustainability goals
- Track performance of power delivery systems and recommend improvements
- Prepare reports on energy usage, costs, and forecasting models
- Advise on integration of renewable energy sources into existing infrastructure
- Assist in setting standards for power usage effectiveness across sites
- Coordinate with external consultants and vendors on power projects
- Stay current with advancements in energy technology and market trends
- Contribute to long-term energy strategy and capacity planning
- Troubleshoot power-related issues in operational environments
- Support audits and compliance reviews related to energy systems
- Facilitate knowledge transfer across teams on power management practices
Nice to Have
- Professional engineering (PE) license
- Master’s degree in energy systems, electrical engineering, or related field
- Experience in cryptocurrency mining or high-performance computing power environments
- Certification in energy management (e.g., CEM, P.E.)
- Familiarity with international power markets and regulations
- Background in sustainability reporting and energy audits
- Knowledge of transformer and substation operations
- Experience with demand response programs
- Track record in reducing energy costs at scale
- Fluency in Mandarin or another Asian language
