Responsibilities
- Design and implement the internal AI infrastructure, including agent coordination servers, custom agent logic, workflow automation frameworks, and integrations that enable AI-driven engineering at scale
- Develop specialized agent capabilities such as skills, subagents, event hooks, and plugins tailored to software engineering tasks like code review, test creation, pull request triage, on-call support, release documentation, and system migrations
- Create full-stack autonomous workflows where agents process tickets, generate code, execute tests, and submit pull requests with minimal human intervention
- Engineer asynchronous, fault-tolerant, long-duration agent processes using Temporal to ensure reliability across extended execution periods and system restarts
- Lead the deployment and configuration of AI coding tools across engineering teams
- Integrate AI systems into continuous integration and delivery pipelines for automated code review, test generation, documentation creation, migration handling, bug classification, and self-driving code changes
- Construct a governance framework for AI usage, including monitoring, cost attribution, audit logging, and enforcement of security policies such as data egress controls, secret redaction, and protection against prompt injection attacks
- Develop evaluation methodologies to assess the real-world effectiveness of prompts, agent skills, and workflows in catching bugs, improving output quality, and delivering net time savings
- Track platform adoption and productivity metrics using formal engineering performance models and iterate on platform design based on data
- Collaborate with Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure AI practices align with customer trust requirements and regulatory obligations
- Guide engineers through mentorship, establish technical standards, and conduct design reviews across teams
- Monitor advancements in AI coding tools and integrate relevant innovations into the platform
- Engage in hands-on design and development, write modular and testable code, and contribute within an agile delivery model
- Take part in architectural reviews, incident post-mortems, and on-call rotations for the AI Tooling platform
