About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Senior Software Engineer to join the CMS team, delivering key features and enhancements in an agile setting. You will write clean, maintainable code aligned with architectural goals, contribute to a headless CMS built with Node.js, and support team growth through mentorship and collaboration. The system operates on GCP using an event-driven, service-oriented architecture to manage over 400,000 pages, maintained within a monorepo environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features for the Group CMS platform
- Build reusable components across the CMS domain using NPM Workspaces and Turbo monorepo
- Manage Kubernetes manifests as part of application ownership within a centrally provided platform
- Monitor application deployments using Grafana and Datadog tools
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines through Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Document technical decisions and proposals using RFC and ADR formats
- Promote team collaboration through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and peer support

Working within an agile environment, your primary focus will be the delivery of key features and improvements, writing clean, maintainable code that aligns with our broader architectural vision. As a senior member of the team, you will balance this delivery work with mentorship, helping to elevate our collective engineering standards through active collaboration and code review. You will be working on our proprietary headless CMS, a Node.js application that serves as the central content hub for the LeoVegas Group portfolio. The system relies on an event-driven, service-oriented, architecture to synchronise over 400,000 pages. Hosted within a GCP environment and managed via a single monorepo, the platform offers a mature, containerised context where you can focus on building scalable, full stack, code.
