Responsibilities
- Establish the foundation for a new corporate network and help define future team structure and staffing needs.
- Plan and deploy network infrastructure for new international offices while modernizing existing locations.
- Design, deploy, and support highly available and secure network systems—including LAN, WAN, wireless, and VPN—across multiple global regions.
- Configure on-premises networking hardware such as routers and gateways worldwide, supporting environments with mixed vendor equipment.
- Oversee global network connectivity using international leased lines and local internet services.
- Lead configuration and resolution of advanced network issues across routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
- Serve as primary owner of corporate networking, acting as first point of contact or escalation for critical incidents, including incident management and post-mortem analysis.
- Partner with cross-functional groups—including security, engineering, product, IT, and workplace teams—to align network solutions with business goals.
- Collaborate with IT teams to resolve endpoint network problems, provide foundational networking knowledge, and support basic IT operations.
- Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including topologies, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Assess and propose emerging networking technologies to support rapid business expansion.
- Guide, train, and mentor network engineers; support team development, performance management, and talent acquisition.
- Participate in a rotating global on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage for corporate network incidents.
- Adjust work hours as needed to support maintenance windows, upgrades, and deployments outside business hours to reduce operational impact.
