Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate production network infrastructure
- Work hands-on with: Layer 3 switching and routing
- Work hands-on with: Network firewalls and VPN technologies
- Work hands-on with: Hybrid connectivity between on-prem and AWS
- Build and operate AWS networking, including: VPCs, routing, Transit Gateways / Cloud WAN concepts, Route 53 (DNS and traffic management)
- Create and maintain network infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents in production
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management
- Collaborate closely with: Connectivity team members
- Collaborate closely with: Architects and Platform teams
- Collaborate closely with: Security and application teams
- Maintain documentation and contribute to shared ways of working
- Take part in a 24/7 on-call rotation supporting production environments
Requirements
- Strong networking fundamentals and production experience
- Hands-on experience with production network infrastructure
- Experience with AWS networking services
- Experience with enterprise routing and switching
- Experience with VPNs and firewalls
- Experience with hybrid environments spanning on-prem and AWS
- Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and Ansible)
