Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical expert for LAN, WLAN, and WAN systems across the European Union and globally
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network problems spanning all layers of the OSI model
- Deliver expert-level support for configuring, deploying, and resolving network issues
- Direct network architecture planning, deployment, and technology upgrades
- Collaborate with government entities, communications service providers, global service providers, and outside partners
- Create and maintain technical standards, policies, and operational procedures
- Conduct network performance evaluations and implement proactive optimization strategies
- Enforce adherence to Department of Defense and Defense Health Agency security and architectural guidelines
- Assist in deploying and maintaining firewalls, virtual private networks, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and Zero Trust frameworks
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineering personnel
