Staff4Me is hiring a Senior Network Engineer (CCIE Switching with Wi-Fi Experience) to serve as the expert troubleshooter for escalated issues in complex, converged networks. This role focuses on resolving the most challenging problems across switching, routing, and Wi-Fi domains.
What You'll Do
- Act as lead troubleshooter for escalated network issues in converged networks including switching, routing, and Wi-Fi.
- Utilize tools like Wireshark to read, interpret, and analyze packet captures to identify root causes.
- Take ownership of problems escalated from other engineering teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Troubleshoot and optimize enterprise-level Wi-Fi networks for connectivity, interference, performance, and security.
- Provide expert-level support for converged networks including LAN, WAN, and wireless, troubleshooting VoIP, video, and data traffic.
- Continuously monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and proactively implement corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of troubleshooting activities and generate reports for network improvements.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise in advanced troubleshooting techniques.
What We're Looking For
- CCIE certification in Switching and Routing.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on switching, routing, and Wi-Fi in complex, multi-vendor environments.
- Expert knowledge of Cisco switching and routing technologies (Catalyst, Nexus, etc.).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and optimizing Wi-Fi networks (Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus).
- Advanced skills in packet capture analysis using tools such as Wireshark.
- Deep understanding of network protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLAN, and wireless standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
- Strong familiarity with network security protocols and tools, including RADIUS, 802.1x, and encryption standards.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Additional certifications in Wi-Fi technologies.
