Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly available network architectures covering routing, switching, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPN, quality of service, and zero-trust segmentation.
- Gather technical requirements, assess networking technologies, and lead infrastructure changes from concept through deployment.
- Create and manage disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for all network systems.
- Conduct regular maintenance activities including software patching, system upgrades, performance tuning, and health checks across network devices.
- Track, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities and respond to vendor-issued security notices for network hardware and software.
- Ensure up-to-date documentation of network configurations, baselines, and architectural diagrams.
- Take ownership of network incidents and service tickets, leading troubleshooting efforts to resolution.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to support enterprise-wide projects and operations.
- Research new networking technologies and provide practical insights on their applicability and benefits.
- Provide technical guidance and serve as backup support for other team members within the network engineering group.
- Communicate effectively with both technical staff and non-technical stakeholders across organizational levels.
