Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain shared Kotlin Multiplatform modules that support POS functionalities, ensuring high performance and maintainability across Android and JVM-based desktop environments.
- Establish clear architectural boundaries using repository, service, facade, DTO, and bridge patterns to decouple Kotlin logic from platform-specific implementations and the VueJS/TypeScript frontend.
- Implement platform-specific behaviors for desktop and Android using expect/actual mechanisms, keeping business logic independent of underlying platform details.
- Create offline-first workflows featuring local data storage, caching strategies, sync preparation, and explicit error recovery mechanisms.
- Produce clean, maintainable code, engage in peer reviews, and refactor legacy components to improve system health and clarity.
- Develop automated test suites covering business logic, use cases, data access layers, interface contracts, and asynchronous operations using coroutines.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, quality assurance, product managers, and system architects to define interfaces and deliver features effectively.
- Guide junior team members through knowledge sharing and direct mentorship in Kotlin best practices and architecture.
- Follow team-defined workflows and provide consistent updates on task progress, design choices, and technical compromises.
