Responsibilities
- Lead the development and refinement of a mobile platform centered on Flutter, including native iOS and Android components for audio handling, background operations, offline functionality, speed, and monitoring.
- Develop systems for capturing and transmitting audio in real time, managing segmented uploads and extended clinical recordings.
- Design and maintain data strategies for offline use, local storage, background synchronization, and recovery procedures.
- Optimize application efficiency in areas such as launch speed, responsiveness, memory footprint, power consumption, and background processing.
- Establish comprehensive monitoring on mobile devices, including crash tracking, error management, logging, and identifying regressions.
- Oversee release pipelines, continuous integration and deployment automation, build configurations, code signing, and app store submission processes.
- Create and refine core mobile libraries used across products, including abstractions for audio, caching, state management, navigation, networking retries, and diagnostic tools.
- Increase system dependability by methodically minimizing crashes, enhancing pre-release quality, and blocking regressions from reaching end users.
- Collaborate with product, backend, AI, and design teams to anticipate infrastructure demands and accelerate product delivery.
- Influence long-term mobile architecture decisions as the Ambient AI product suite scales.
- Support related platforms like Chrome extensions and web apps when integration points with mobile, audio, or AI systems arise.
- Guide and develop other engineers to elevate technical standards across the mobile team.
- Have the potential to advance into a broader leadership position within the mobile platform as the team and product scope grow, without requiring managerial duties.
