Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and analytics teams from the outset to define problems and shape product direction, including drafting technical specifications rather than just executing them.
- Develop and enhance systems that support customer acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and long-term retention, with ownership over testing strategies, release timing, and performance measurement.
- Operate across multiple technology layers as needed, primarily focused on Android but also contributing to iOS, backend services, or web platforms using React and TypeScript.
- Leverage AI-powered development tools and agents to generate code, support specification-driven workflows, and accelerate iteration across mobile, backend, and web environments.
- Convert user feedback and business objectives into effective technical implementations, challenging proposals when data indicates a more effective alternative approach.
- Design and monitor experiments such as A/B tests, conversion funnels, onboarding flows, and retention mechanisms to verify impact on key growth metrics and discontinue underperforming features.
- Build and maintain a scalable software architecture that supports organizational growth and adaptability.
- Lead decision-making around development practices, tools, and testing methodologies for mobile applications.
- Deliver features in iterative cycles by prioritizing tasks, defining minimum viable products, and balancing development speed with code quality to accelerate value delivery.
- Write unit and automated UI tests to safeguard existing functionality and ensure compliance with product requirements.
- Take full ownership of projects from initial design through deployment and ongoing refinement, requiring minimal supervision.
