About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical system design for large-scale data center facilities
- Develop detailed engineering drawings and specifications
- Perform load calculations and system sizing for HVAC and related systems
- Collaborate with electrical, structural, and controls engineers on integrated solutions
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards
- Support project management through scheduling and budgeting input
- Conduct design reviews and coordinate feedback from stakeholders
- Optimize mechanical systems for energy efficiency and operational resilience
- Prepare technical submittals and construction documentation
- Troubleshoot design issues during construction phases
- Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance
- Apply industry best practices to cooling strategies and airflow management
- Work with clients to understand project requirements and constraints
- Integrate sustainability principles into mechanical design
- Support commissioning processes for mechanical systems
- Evaluate new technologies and methodologies for data center applications
- Maintain design consistency across multiple project sites
- Ensure redundancy and fault tolerance in mechanical system layouts
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors during implementation
- Manage design deliverables within established timelines
