Responsibilities
- Evaluate the complete physical security technology ecosystem and establish a prioritized plan for system retention, retirement, and expansion.
- Define and enforce rigorous standards for the design, configuration, performance, and testing of physical identity, access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and intercom systems across all locations.
- Lead vendor management strategy, including selection, contract negotiation, SLA enforcement, and coordination with integrators and local service providers worldwide.
- Manage the full financial and operational lifecycle of security technology, including capital planning, operational budgeting, procurement, deployment, upgrades, and decommissioning.
- Collaborate with Facilities teams during construction and remodeling projects to integrate security systems from initial design through site launch.
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, biometric authentication, and mobile credentials to modernize access provisioning and auditing.
- Work closely with the Global Security Operations Center to optimize access and video platforms for reliable 24/7 monitoring, alerting, and response workflows.
- Establish and maintain policies for physical access control, including credential lifecycle management for employees, contractors, and guests.
- Partner with data teams to aggregate security system logs and telemetry, enabling risk visibility and performance measurement through centralized dashboards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, Identity and Access Management, Legal, People, Workplace, Data Centers, and Trust & Safety to ensure system interoperability.
- Ensure system reliability through regular updates, firmware control, configuration backups, performance reviews, and comprehensive documentation of incidents, changes, and procedures.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain technical staff to support a growing and complex security technology environment.
