About the Role
This position leads the identification, assessment, and reporting of market risk exposures related to trading and derivative instruments, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal risk frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation and monitoring of market risk across trading portfolios
- Develop and maintain risk measurement frameworks for derivatives and trading activities
- Produce regular risk reports for senior management and regulatory bodies
- Collaborate with trading desks to understand new product risks and trading strategies
- Support stress testing and scenario analysis for market risk exposure
- Ensure compliance with internal risk limits and regulatory requirements
- Identify potential risk concentrations and recommend mitigation strategies
- Work with quantitative teams to validate risk models and assumptions
- Monitor real-time risk metrics during volatile market conditions
- Contribute to the development of risk policies and governance procedures
- Interface with audit and regulatory teams during examinations
- Assist in onboarding new trading products with risk assessments
- Evaluate counterparty risk implications in derivatives trading
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations affecting market risk
- Provide risk insights during capital planning and strategic decision-making
