Responsibilities
- Design and establish the global workplace function from scratch, including policies, standards, playbooks, and operating processes that are flexible across regions and scalable as the company grows.
- Manage day-to-day operations for small offices in multiple regions, ensuring consistent experience while adapting to local norms, labor requirements, and regulations.
- Develop a workplace strategy that supports a remote-first culture while creating valuable in-person environments such as team hubs, offsites, and gathering spaces to enhance collaboration and connection.
- Lead site selection, buildout, and launch of new small offices as the company expands into new regions, collaborating with Procurement, Finance, and Legal.
- Own vendor relationships across regions, including brokers, landlords, building management, facilities, food and beverage, and events, working closely with Procurement on sourcing and contract negotiation.
- Partner with People, IT, Security, and Finance on space planning, onboarding logistics, workplace technology, and headcount-driven capacity planning across regions.
- Own the global workplace budget, track spending across regions, and identify opportunities to optimize costs without compromising employee experience.
- Create scalable, well-documented workplace policies for health and safety, visitor management, workplace security, and office access that are adaptable across jurisdictions.
- Support company gatherings that reinforce culture and connection across a distributed team.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for office-related issues and emergencies across regions and time zones, establishing clear escalation protocols.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in workplace, facilities, corporate real estate, or global office operations, ideally including building a workplace function or program from the ground up.
- Experience supporting a globally distributed organization with multiple small offices across regions, and understanding of operational and regulatory differences.
- Genuine enthusiasm for remote-first ways of working, paired with appreciation for why in-person environments matter and judgment on when to invest in each.
- Strong vendor management and contract negotiation experience, comfortable partnering closely with a Procurement function.
- Experience managing a budget with a track record of finding operational efficiencies.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with People, IT, Security, and Finance teams.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating autonomously with significant ownership and limited existing infrastructure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with cultural fluency to work effectively across regions, time zones, and languages.
- Based in the Americas or EMEA, with flexibility to travel to regional offices as needed.

- Familiarity with health, safety, and workplace compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience designing workplace programs specifically for hybrid or remote-first organizations, such as home office stipends, co-working allowances, or hub-based gathering strategies.
