Responsibilities
- Coordinate data workflows using job orchestration tools with integrated validation and reconciliation processes
- Define and implement artificial intelligence applications for finance functions, such as automated forecasting, anomaly identification, and natural language access to financial information
- Develop and sustain internal financial applications that allow non-technical users to independently access and analyze data
- Create reporting assets and interactive dashboards for recurring financial and executive reviews
- Distribute verified financial data sets while enabling independent analysis and enforcing granular access controls
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to gather operational needs and convert them into durable data solutions
- Lead and expand a team of data engineers specializing in finance systems, including setting standards and mentoring team members
- Implement version control, code review protocols, and automated deployment pipelines to meet regulatory compliance standards
- Deliver technical support during critical financial closing periods and resolve data issues promptly
- Work with IT and engineering departments to define system requirements and conduct user acceptance testing
- Define and promote best practices in coding, data handling, and technical documentation
- Act as a strategic leader who identifies inefficiencies, aligns with enterprise goals, and drives team accountability for high-quality outcomes
