Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing procedures.
- Guarantee prompt and precise preparation of financial statements following US GAAP and Indian Accounting Standards.
- Examine journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet schedules.
- Enforce adherence to accounting policies and internal reporting standards.
- Assist with consolidation and group reporting tasks.
- Manage statutory audits, tax audits, and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, GST, TDS, and other relevant regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Support transfer pricing and associated compliance obligations.
- Interpret and apply US GAAP accounting guidelines.
- Assess complex accounting transactions and draft technical accounting memos.
- Facilitate the adoption of new accounting standards and policy updates.
- Collaborate with global finance teams on accounting treatments and reporting needs.
- Serve as the primary daily contact for internal and external auditors.
- Handle audit planning, execution, and finalization activities.
- Ensure prompt resolution of audit findings and control weaknesses.
- Drive ongoing improvements in audit preparedness.
- Work with FP&A, tax, treasury, legal, and operational departments.
- Offer financial insights to support strategic business choices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members.
- Promote process automation and finance transformation projects.
- Refine accounting processes to boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Support ERP implementations and system upgrades.
- Use automation tools to streamline reporting and reconciliation tasks.
- Advocate for best practices in financial operations and controls.
