Responsibilities
- Enforce corporate-wide environmental, health, and safety policies and ensure the manufacturing facility meets all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Offer strategic guidance to shape long-term EHS goals and establish site-specific standards, procedures, and management systems.
- Lead the EHS function to support site objectives through safety-focused programs and ongoing performance improvements.
- Supervise EHS personnel across management, technical, and support roles and oversee the annual budget for the department.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in environmental, health, and safety practices through effective systems and controls.
- Serve as the official representative for EHS matters with government agencies and non-governmental organizations and stay current on evolving regulations worldwide.
- Submit required environmental performance reports, address violations, and resolve issues with regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate with global EHS teams to set emission reduction targets and coordinate cross-functional plans to meet them.
- Obtain and uphold all necessary environmental certifications for ongoing operations or as mandated by global leadership.
