Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of data engineers, promoting a culture of technical rigor, accountability, and high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create quarterly data engineering roadmaps, allocate resources, and ensure on-time, high-standard project execution.
- Oversee the design, scalability, and stability of the organization's core data platform, including data warehousing, ingestion systems, transformation logic using dbt, and workflow orchestration.
- Establish and advocate for engineering best practices, including data modeling standards, pipeline monitoring, service-level agreements, and data integrity checks.
- Work closely with data science, engineering, and operations teams to build robust data systems that support analytics, A/B testing, machine learning, and internal tools at scale.
- Engage directly in technical work to identify platform limitations early and guide improvements before they impact performance.
- Communicate complex data architecture and strategy decisions clearly to executive leaders, translating them into actionable business insights.
