About the Role
The individual will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on plant utility systems and production equipment, ensuring continuous and compliant operation in a GMP environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility utility systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in production equipment
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
- Respond to equipment failures and perform emergency repairs
- Support validation activities for utility systems and equipment
- Conduct inspections and tests on critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on system improvements
- Follow standard operating procedures and documentation practices
- Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor system performance and recommend corrective actions
- Operate and maintain HVAC, compressed air, and water purification systems
- Perform lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance activities
- Use computerized maintenance management systems for work orders
- Ensure spare parts and tools are available and properly stored
- Adhere to environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments
- Support compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Train junior technicians on maintenance procedures
- Assist with facility upgrades and capital projects
- Maintain calibration records for critical instruments
- Work under minimal supervision on complex technical tasks
- Escalate technical issues when necessary
- Ensure cleanroom utility systems function within specifications
- Follow change control processes for system modifications
