Responsibilities
- Lead global automation deployment for enterprise Linux server and cloud services.
- Design and drive automation strategy, framework enhancements, and roadmap execution.
- Improve automated processes for deploying and maintaining large-scale Linux systems.
- Automate security practices including system hardening, patching, and threat detection.
- Stay current with evolving security standards and automate their integration.
- Enhance automation for incident, problem, change, and configuration management workflows.
- Refine operational processes to increase reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure services remain stable, secure, and performant.
- Build automation solutions driven by APIs.
- Apply secure coding principles in all development tasks.
- Manage and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for consistent delivery.
- Respond to audit results by implementing fixes, tracking progress, and documenting evidence.
- Ensure systems operate with high availability and minimal downtime.
- Work with support teams to resolve escalated technical issues through analysis and troubleshooting.
- Enhance system monitoring capabilities for better insights.
- Create and update standard operating procedures for automation and operations.
- Advise IT and DevOps teams on secure Linux/Unix configurations in on-premise and cloud environments.
- Manage host configurations, golden images, and automation in cloud platforms.
- Coordinate administration of storage, backups, and ESX infrastructure.
- Increase transparency into the security posture of the environment.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies to align with development and operations teams.
- Drive automation for event-based responses and self-healing system capabilities
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Icinga, Zabbix, or CheckMK is advantageous.
