Scalable GmbH is seeking a Senior Kotlin / Java Software Engineer to join our Client Technology Tribe. This team provides state-of-the-art security for client authentication and KYC processes, ensures convenient and legally-secure consent management, and develops our Salesforce and public website platforms in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Work with software engineers and academics to implement change in the financial industry.
- Utilize cutting-edge technologies and modern practices, including agile, CI/CD, and test automation.
- Engage with a cloud-native, DevOps-enabled infrastructure, utilizing AWS services like ECS, Fargate, and Lambda.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code, treating security as a first-class citizen.
- Bring products to production and reveal real business value.
- Improve engineering excellence within the team.
What We're Looking For
- A university degree in a relevant field of study or comparable practical experience.
- Extensive backend experience in Java/Kotlin, JWT, Docker, Spring, AWS, Git, GraphQL, RESTful API, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- A passion for well-architected, testable, and documented code and an agile mindset.
- Strong analytical thinking in both technical and product domains.
- Experience in complex software projects with end-to-end ownership building Microservices.
- Practical experience in AWS or another cloud provider.
- Good communication skills and professional proficiency in English.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with security topics and/or DevOps.
- A background in the financial industry and financial software product development.
