Societe Generale is hiring a Senior Java Developer to join its Global Solution Centre (SG GSC) and support the enhancement of the Forex business activity on the LMA perimeter. In this role, you will design and develop new features for a pre-trade platform built on microservices, ensure solution quality, and provide production support.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop new features front to back as part of an agile/scrum team.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality and scalable solutions using modern development practices such as clean code, automated testing, monitoring, alerting, and secure by design.
• Provide L3 support on the application in the production environment when needed.
• Drive innovation and contribute new ideas for the existing architecture, services, and processes.
• Maintain and improve the continuous integration and delivery environment.
• Maintain a close relationship with the Front Office team to ensure the delivery of high-quality features.

What We're Looking For

• Solid knowledge of Java 11+, Spring, relational databases (PostgreSQL, Sybase), GIT, and Maven.
• Good knowledge of Java Microservices, Spring Boot, JPA, and REST.
• Good knowledge of Linux environment and Shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Eclipse/IntelliJ, Jenkins or Github Actions CI/CD Pipelines, JUnit, Jira, and Cucumber.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
• A good command of English, both written and spoken, with the ability to participate in English-only meetings.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Java 21, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK, or JavaScript with Angular or React would be a plus.
