About the Role
The Senior IT Administrator will lead the management and optimization of IT infrastructure, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient systems across the organization’s operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily performance and reliability of network and server systems
- Manage on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure including virtualization platforms
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies and incident response protocols
- Support and maintain enterprise-level backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Administer Active Directory, identity management, and access controls
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across hardware, software, and networks
- Lead the deployment of system upgrades and technology refresh initiatives
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements
- Monitor system performance and generate operational reports
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners on technical integrations
- Participate in capacity planning and long-term infrastructure strategy
- Configure and maintain firewalls, switches, and routing equipment
- Support end-user computing environments including desktops and mobile devices
- Document system configurations, procedures, and change management activities
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams during critical outages or migrations
- Assist in onboarding and training of new IT staff members
- Manage software licensing and asset inventory tracking
- Evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption
- Ensure high availability for critical business applications
- Perform regular system audits and vulnerability assessments
- Support Microsoft 365 and email infrastructure operations
- Implement and maintain remote access solutions such as VPNs
- Respond to after-hours incidents as part of an on-call rotation
- Facilitate data center operations across multiple physical sites
- Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency
