Spark Power is hiring a Senior IT Administrator

About the Role

The Senior IT Administrator will lead the management and optimization of IT infrastructure, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient systems across the organization’s operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily performance and reliability of network and server systems
  • Manage on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure including virtualization platforms
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies and incident response protocols
  • Support and maintain enterprise-level backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Administer Active Directory, identity management, and access controls
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues across hardware, software, and networks
  • Lead the deployment of system upgrades and technology refresh initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements
  • Monitor system performance and generate operational reports
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners on technical integrations
  • Participate in capacity planning and long-term infrastructure strategy
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, switches, and routing equipment
  • Support end-user computing environments including desktops and mobile devices
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and change management activities
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams during critical outages or migrations
  • Assist in onboarding and training of new IT staff members
  • Manage software licensing and asset inventory tracking
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption
  • Ensure high availability for critical business applications
  • Perform regular system audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Support Microsoft 365 and email infrastructure operations
  • Implement and maintain remote access solutions such as VPNs
  • Respond to after-hours incidents as part of an on-call rotation
  • Facilitate data center operations across multiple physical sites
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency
