Responsibilities
- Define and advance technical scope across one or more layers of the infrastructure stack, guiding initiatives from initial concept to deployment and ongoing management.
- Establish long-term technical vision for key domains by authoring design proposals, analyzing tradeoffs, and making decisions with lasting operational impact.
- Serve as the highest level of technical support during incidents, resolving critical outages and leading reviews that result in robust, lasting improvements.
- Elevate team capabilities through active participation in design and code reviews, as well as hands-on mentorship that fosters growth beyond feedback on deliverables.
- Collaborate as a peer leader with security, compliance, product engineering, and ground operations teams, bridging infrastructure limitations with cross-functional requirements.
- Detect recurring manual effort and neglected areas within systems, then initiate and drive cross-domain projects to eliminate inefficiencies.
- Advocate for infrastructure perspectives in company-wide technical decisions and produce foundational documentation used by other teams.
