Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development teams across all stages of the software development lifecycle, from initial design to deployment, to ensure security is integrated from the start.
- Lead the development and refinement of application security tools by deploying, adjusting, and connecting static, dynamic, and software composition analysis tools as well as container scanning into automated pipelines, ensuring results are clear and usable for developers.
- Manage application and third-party risk by identifying, categorizing, and prioritizing vulnerabilities, coordinating resolution strategies, and tracking improvements in security effectiveness.
- Conduct security-focused design and architecture evaluations, including threat modeling for distributed systems built on APIs and microservices, to guide teams in making informed risk decisions.
- Assist in responding to security incidents at the application level, working with engineering, support, and other groups to investigate, resolve, and learn from events.
- Collaborate with the broader information security team on compliance audits, customer security inquiries, and assurance processes.
