Responsibilities
- Design and build core system components, including data subject request workflows, API integrations, and high-throughput data processing systems
- Make strategic decisions on architecture, data structures, and technology stack to support large-scale enterprise clients handling massive privacy data volumes
- Proactively detect potential system limitations and scalability challenges, offering forward-looking solutions
- Promote high standards in coding practices, testing rigor, system observability, and technical documentation across the engineering team
- Develop robust, test-covered code that reliably serves millions of users and meets strict enterprise reliability benchmarks
- Own end-to-end delivery of projects, from initial concept to deployment and iterative improvement, focusing on impact over task completion
- Maintain a balance between rapid iteration and high-quality engineering standards in code, testing, and documentation
- Utilize AI-powered development tools to boost coding efficiency, improve software quality, and streamline development workflows
- Offer technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and provide architectural guidance to grow team members' capabilities
- Lead technical planning discussions, author detailed specs, and align engineering efforts with product and design stakeholders
- Contribute to open source initiatives through constructive pull request feedback, issue management, and user support
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Customer Success teams to ensure technical implementations meet business and customer requirements
- Build systems capable of managing heavy enterprise workloads under strict service level agreements, security policies, and regulatory compliance
- Use data, monitoring insights, and performance metrics to guide system design and operational enhancements
- Take full ownership of live systems, respond promptly to outages, and lead root cause analyses to prevent recurrence
- Spot inefficiencies in development tools, workflows, and processes, then design and deploy effective improvements
