Remote is hiring a Senior HR Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions - APAC (HRBP)

Responsibilities

  • Handle complex, end-to-end employee departures across multiple international jurisdictions with minimal oversight, ensuring a high-quality offboarding experience for clients and employees.
  • Offer reliable, expert advice on key jurisdictions and manage client inquiries regarding termination, resignation, transfer procedures, employment contracts, and redundancy processes, ensuring legal compliance and best practices.
  • Independently lead client and external employee meetings, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, separation and settlement negotiations, termination guidance, and communicating termination outcomes.
  • Achieve favorable results in complex terminations by influencing and negotiating with multiple stakeholders who have conflicting interests through a challenging and often lengthy process.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders such as payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, and trade unions to ensure compliance during offboarding activities and audits.
  • Create, customize, and manage all termination and related documents with precision and attention to detail, maintaining employee records in strict compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
  • Process offboarding on the internal HRIS platform, collaborating with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Attendance, and other teams to ensure all aspects of employee exits are handled correctly and promptly.
  • Serve as the first informal escalation point for junior team members, providing expertise, mentoring, and guidance based on sound judgment.
  • Offer comprehensive guidance on employee relations resources to help clients navigate complex workplace situations.
  • Conduct thorough preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identifying key facts, applicable local regulations, and potential solutions.
  • Act as a trusted resource for internal and external stakeholders on employee relations matters, ensuring complex cases are handled appropriately.
  • Guide clients on progressive disciplinary approaches, documentation requirements, and best practices for managing difficult situations.
  • Track and monitor ongoing employee relations cases, ensuring timely follow-up and appropriate coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert and proactively resolve internal and external queries on offboarding and first-level employee relations matters in collaboration with Lifecycle's internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for and drive process improvements, automation, product development, and overall customer and employee experience in offboarding and employee relations processes.
  • Determine methods, procedures, and standards for new assignments.
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods, evaluating and adapting complex techniques and evaluation criteria to achieve results, considering broader Lifecycle and company needs.
