Arista Networks is hiring a Senior Hardware Design Engineer, Ethernet Switching

Responsibilities

  • Develop functional specifications for high-power, high-density Ethernet switches used in AI networking systems
  • Evaluate and qualify electronic components for performance, reliability, and availability
  • Perform schematic capture using both flat and hierarchical design methodologies
  • Collaborate with electrical CAD teams on PCB layout and component footprint development
  • Conduct or coordinate signal integrity simulations for power and data signals
  • Define PCB stackup configurations and manufacturing specifications in coordination with multiple PCB vendors
  • Partner with domestic and international contract manufacturers during prototype and production phases
  • Lead lab bring-up and debugging of hardware prototypes
  • Lead system-level troubleshooting across hardware, software, and test engineering teams
  • Train manufacturing partners to achieve high test yield and production efficiency
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teams of engineers, including junior staff
