Responsibilities
- Lead technical execution from concept to detailed design for mine waste storage and water management infrastructure, including tailings dams, filtered stacks, co-disposal systems, waste dumps, and mine water retention or seepage collection structures.
- Serve as the licensed Engineer of Record (EOR) for tailings dams or comparable embankment systems.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and technical staff in geotechnical practice and project execution.
- Conduct independent technical evaluations of engineering designs, analyses, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Deliver expert consultation on geotechnical engineering issues, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Engage actively in internal technical communities and professional practice groups to advance engineering quality.
- Collaborate with clients to create durable, environmentally sound engineering solutions.
