Responsibilities
- Act as the lead technical contributor for geospatial projects within the Offroad domain, managing workflow design, execution order, and delivery in alignment with project management direction.
- Implement and manage geospatial datasets and processes that enable consistent use of Offroad content across multiple product functionalities and user experiences.
- Maintain data integrity by conducting audits, updates, and cleanups on critical Offroad datasets, using technical expertise to assess long-term viability and recommend changes.
- Utilize and enhance current geospatial data pipelines while contributing to the creation of new methods to ensure dependable transfer of data from origin to customer-facing systems.
- Lead advanced geoprocessing tasks including merging data from multiple sources, conflation, and comprehensive quality assurance, resolving complex data ambiguities.
- Apply AI tools such as Claude Code to automate and improve geospatial workflows, including feature identification, classification, and data validation.
- Identify potential issues in data quality, processing pipelines, or platform capabilities and report findings with actionable suggestions to project leadership.
- Monitor data health through analysis and dashboard development to support strategic decision-making and product performance tracking.
- Assess and recommend geospatial data sources for adoption or enhancement based on quality, coverage, and usability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure geospatial solutions meet performance, scalability, and maintenance standards.
- Manage the full lifecycle of geospatial initiatives, from initial scoping through deployment and post-release verification.
- Use Git and team-based development practices to promote consistency, traceability, and reusability within the geospatial data team.
- Offer technical guidance and informal mentorship to junior analysts as needed.
- Communicate technical progress, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders across departments.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
- Explore and integrate AI tools into daily operations through practical experimentation and iterative refinement, ensuring responsible and validated use.
