Responsibilities
- Leading the end-to-end migration process of one or more Data warehouses (databases & pipelines) from SAP Data Services and SQL Server to Databricks.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensuring that the new solution (in the form of data product) meets these needs.
- Performing data mapping, data validation, and data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the migrated data.
- Providing technical guidance to the data engineers participating in the migration.
- Conducting thorough testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues that arise during the migration.
- Making sure that all documentation (technical analysis, test cases, non-functional requirements) is available during the end-to-end migration process.
- Reporting and planning on the migration project status.
Requirements
- Strong technical background
- Hands-on experience with data migration projects of a similar nature
