Penomo is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join their remote AI-first engineering team, building infrastructure for financing renewable energy projects through asset tokenization. You will own end-to-end feature delivery using AI-assisted tools while contributing to a secure, production-grade platform at the intersection of AI, on-chain finance, and renewable energy.
What You'll Do
- Own complete feature delivery: idea → planning → implementation → deployment → user feedback
- Use Claude Code/Cursor for AI-assisted spec generation, coding, test creation, and deployment
- Implement security-first architecture for financial applications handling real transactions
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated security checks and testing
- Collaborate on AI-assisted sprint planning and technical decision-making
- Design and implement AI-powered functionalities (prompt flows, document parsing, LLM integrations)
- Deploy and monitor apps on AWS (ECS, CloudWatch, IAM)
- Maintain clean, testable, well-documented code across services
- Collaborate with founders and teammates to align technical roadmap with business goals
What We're Looking For
- Obsession to learn how to embrace and master AI-first engineering and become one of the most valuable players in our domain
- 5+ years of experience building and deploying production-grade fullstack applications. If you don't have 5 years of experience, but you can compensate this with your drive to learn fast -> please still apply
- Solid DevOps experience (AWS, CI/CD, observability, incident response)
- Strong understanding of secure coding and cybersecurity fundamentals
- Comfortable leading your own sprint and owning delivery end-to-end
- Experience in using Claude Code for AI-first software engineering
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfort with startup-style flexibility and iterative development
Nice to Have
- Previous experience mentoring or leading small engineering teams or a strong desire to grow into a lead role
- Experience with smart contracts and tokenization (Solidity, ERC standards)
- Knowledge of NIS2, ISO 27001, or SOC2 implementation
