Feeld is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a backend focus to join our Discovery team. You will be responsible for core product engineering on the Feeld mobile app and supporting backend systems, delivering new features and updates to our Members.

What You'll Do

Work within a Squad of 6 engineers and 1 lead, focusing on core product pillars like onboarding, discovery, chat, or Member care.
Build experiments, features, and fix issues aligned with your Squad's goals.
Support engineers within your Squad and the wider team by sharing your fullstack development knowledge.
Align with peers across the business to ensure a fully supported user experience, including back-office tooling, security features, and data capabilities.
Monitor current systems and services, and recommend and implement changes to address technical debt.

What We're Looking For

Extensive backend development experience, ideally with TypeScript.
Solid understanding of AWS technologies.
Well-versed in development best practices, especially regarding security and potential attack vectors.
Working knowledge of frontend development, including the specifics of Android and iOS.
Experience working on scalable, distributed systems serving 1M+ MAU, focused on performance and reliability.
Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architecture, message queues, and serverless functions.
Ability to work with a React Native mobile app, debugging issues and contributing to features.
Comfort with modern cloud providers like AWS and their consoles.
A value for collaboration, seeing code reviews as a chance to learn and improve.
Comfort giving and receiving constructive feedback in pull requests.
An understanding of the importance of delivering value to our Members, not just shipping code.
An understanding of the 'why' behind your work and an ability to collaborate closely with product and QA.

Nice to Have

An eye for the details of both user experience and API design.
Experience working on a live production app using GraphQL and DynamoDB.
Experience collaborating on product and design requirements with stakeholders.
Effectiveness at collaborating in a remote and distributed work environment, maintaining open communication.
Experience with distributed systems and a keen eye for software architecture and its implementation.
