Responsibilities
- Architect, code, test, release, and maintain end-to-end software systems within an Agile development squad
- Develop intuitive web interfaces and robust backend services that enhance claims handling and internal operations
- Engineer scalable APIs, microservices, and event-based integrations using Java with Spring Boot and cloud-first design principles
- Construct and support responsive front-end applications using JavaScript or TypeScript with React, Angular, or Vue frameworks
- Design and manage AWS-hosted solutions leveraging services like Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, CloudWatch, IAM, and container platforms such as ECS or EKS
- Ensure APIs and integrations are secure and comply with enterprise security policies
- Integrate secure access controls using enterprise-grade identity management systems
- Model, refine, and debug data structures and data movement across SQL and cloud-native databases
- Lead incident diagnosis and resolution in production environments, enhancing system stability, fault tolerance, and speed
- Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and associated automation, testing, and quality assurance tools
- Strengthen system observability through Datadog and Splunk by setting up dashboards, alerts, metrics, log analysis, and distributed tracing
- Engage in discovery sessions, effort estimation, technical planning, user story creation, and documentation
- Advance engineering excellence in areas such as code health, test coverage, automation, and production readiness
- Guide junior developers and contribute to raising team-wide technical standards and delivery performance
