Flock Safety is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join the Nova team. You will help build a ‘single pane of glass’ platform that connects disparate data sources, empowering investigators to build a clearer picture around case work. In this role, you’ll contribute to the product, build stronger integrations with the overall Flock Software Platform, and work directly with customers.
What You'll Do
- Contribute code to all repositories owned by your team.
- Own the full lifecycle of your work, from communication to completion.
- Pick up engineering tasks of larger size and more ambiguity.
- Communicate across multiple teams to solve problems efficiently.
- Contribute ideas for how we build better software.
- Participate in at least 1 customer call within your first 90 days.

- Confidence with TypeScript / Node / Express for web services and strong general API design skills (e.g., REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
- Confidence in a modern web framework like React / TypeScript (or Vue/Angular with understanding of patterns).
- Strong familiarity with relational databases, primarily PostgreSQL.
- Experience leveraging SQL to access and synthesize customer data, including from legacy relational database systems.
- Confidence in microservices and system design.
- Confidence with Docker for local development and remote deployment via Helm to Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS managed services (e.g., S3, API Gateway, SNS/SQS).
- Familiarity with Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code patterns.

- Compensation: $170,000-$185,000 + equity in the form of Flock Safety Stock Options.
