City of New York - Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is hiring a Senior Enterprise Tools Administrator

Responsibilities

  • Manage IBM ClearCase by creating VOBs and views, configuring branches, administering servers and users, setting permissions, scheduling tasks, supporting desktop and remote clients, and resolving technical issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IBM Rational Application Developer and related components such as WebSphere and Liberty, including troubleshooting and ongoing support.
  • Administer Application Quality Management (AQM), formerly known as ALM/Quality Center, including environment refreshes, data archiving, add-in management, defect synchronization with SDLC tools, and production issue resolution.
  • Oversee UFT One administration, including user setup, client deployment, license management, and maintenance of automated installation and upgrade scripts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical discipline.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in enterprise tool and application administration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as batch and Perl.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Experience implementing and configuring SSL certificates.
  • Familiarity with IBM Rational ClearQuest as part of the SDLC environment.
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.

Nice to Have

  • Experience performing system upgrades, server migrations for VOBs, views, registry, and licensing components, and related maintenance tasks.
  • Background in system and database migration projects.
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or containerization technologies.
