About the Role
This role involves managing platform engineers to deliver robust infrastructure, improve developer productivity, and drive operational excellence through automation, tooling, and best-in-class engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of 6 to 8 platform engineers focused on developing scalable systems, internal platforms, automation tools, and testing frameworks.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of platform projects, including cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and testing strategies.
- Define and implement standardized practices for infrastructure management, deployments, automated testing, monitoring, and incident response.
- Partner with product engineering, security, and IT teams to ensure platform capabilities meet business goals and scalability requirements.
- Enhance system reliability, performance, test coverage, and developer efficiency using automation and custom tooling solutions.
- Identify inefficiencies in development workflows, platform operations, and testing; lead initiatives to improve processes and adopt new technologies.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, engineering excellence, and innovation within the platform team.
