Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership by maintaining hands-on expertise to evaluate architecture, review design decisions, and resolve critical codebase issues when necessary.
- Establish and uphold strict engineering standards, code quality protocols, and efficient development cycles to ensure consistent delivery performance.
- Lead the transition toward cloud-native systems, microservices, and API-first designs while staying engaged with implementation specifics.
- Balance competing priorities such as technical debt, development speed, and system scalability, and clearly justify decisions to executive stakeholders.
- Own end-to-end software development processes across multiple client accounts, including planning, deployment, incident management, and post-mortem analysis.
- Optimize resource allocation, team velocity, and budget utilization across concurrent projects without compromising on quality or reliability.
- Anticipate, report, and resolve potential technical and delivery risks to prevent unexpected delays or system failures for clients.
- Lead, coach, and develop a distributed engineering team of 8 to 15 members, addressing performance issues promptly and promoting a high-performance culture.
- Serve as the main technical liaison for CTOs and engineering VPs, building trust through deep technical knowledge and transparent communication.
- Bridge business objectives and engineering execution by converting strategic goals into actionable technical plans and vice versa.
- Identify opportunities for technical expansion within client accounts by understanding their long-term roadmaps and proposing impactful solutions.
