About the Role
Lead and execute advanced power system studies to support the design, operation, and compliance of electrical networks. Provide technical expertise in modeling, analysis, and reporting for utility and industrial clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct load flow, short circuit, and arc flash analyses
- Develop and validate power system models using industry software
- Support the design of medium and high-voltage electrical systems
- Perform transient stability and dynamic modeling studies
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for clients
- Collaborate with project managers and field engineers
- Review system protection schemes and relay coordination
- Assist in power quality assessments
- Lead peer reviews of engineering deliverables
- Troubleshoot complex system performance issues
- Support integration of renewable energy sources into existing grids
- Evaluate grounding system effectiveness
- Participate in client meetings and technical presentations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements
- Contribute to safety and reliability improvement initiatives
- Manage multiple projects within deadlines
- Provide guidance to junior engineering staff
- Interface with utility providers and regulatory bodies
- Support development of engineering standards and procedures
