AECOM is hiring a Senior Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance in the planning stage of a project including preparation of funding applications, environmental, Right of Way acquisitions, preliminary engineering studies, basis of design reports, master planning, and rate and connection fee studies.
  • Provide technical guidance in the design stage of the project including preparation of construction drawings and technical specifications as well as cost estimating.
  • Provide technical guidance in the bidding stage of the project including attendance to pre bid meetings, answering requests for information, preparation of addenda, and bid opening and analysis.
  • Provide technical guidance and management in the construction phase of the project which may include engineering services only such as review of requests for information and shop drawings submittals or full construction administration services including inspection services.
  • Mentorship and development of younger professionals.
  • Management of multiple concurrent projects including their respective Scope, Schedules, and Budgets.
  • Manage AECOM Quality Assurance and Quality Control Program for assigned projects.
  • Manage technical project team to deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Understand and incorporate client requirements in management of projects including commercial contract terms, change management process, financial performance KPIs, etc.
  • Use AECOM prescribed tools to track and manage the financial aspects of the projects.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Interface with AECOM Project Directors and business leadership to communicate financial status in accordance with established financial performance KPIs.
  • Ensure contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, report, and escalate challenges to management as needed.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation integrates global resources into local project delivery.
  • Conducts marketing efforts to seek new clients in alignment with the Water Business line growth strategies.
  • Meets with existing clients on a regular basis to seek work on existing master services on call contracts.
  • Prepares Statements of Qualifications and Proposals in response to Request for Proposals/Qualifications.
  • Tracks client’s Capital Improvement Project lists and works to preposition AECOM for a successful pursuit of new work.

Requirements

  • Technical, project management, and business development experience in water/wastewater and other civil engineering projects.
