AECOM is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Systems Design Engineer to join our Enterprise Capabilities Design Center in Bogotá D.C. The selected candidate will support designing and implementing fire protection systems for diverse and complex projects. These projects include railways, airports, large surface buildings, data centers, and industrial estates. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in fire protection systems design, compliance with international codes, and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities Design and Engineering: Develop fire protection systems designs, including sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, smoke control systems, and other fire safety measures, ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations. Project Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and mechanical engineers, to integrate fire protection systems seamlessly into project designs. Code Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to NFPA standards, local building codes, and other relevant fire safety regulations. Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports for fire protection systems. Quality Assurance: Conduct reviews and audits of fire protection system designs to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance. Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in fire protection systems to enhance design capabilities and project outcomes.
