Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle design of BSS solutions for new non-terrestrial network products, services, and partner integrations, from requirement gathering to detailed architecture.
- Create comprehensive solution blueprints covering product catalog, order management, mediation, rating, charging systems, invoicing, CRM, and partner settlement layers.
- Assess and choose BSS platforms such as Amdocs, Ericsson, Nokia, Comviva, or Oracle BRM based on alignment with satellite network use cases.
- Utilize TM Forum standards including eTOM, SID, TAM, and Open APIs to ensure system interoperability and compliance.
- Architect solutions for high scalability, availability, and performance under heavy transaction loads typical in satellite IoT and consumer NTN environments.
- Design integration frameworks connecting BSS with OSS, NMS, ERP, CRM, payment processors, and mobile network operator systems.
- Define and manage BSS APIs using TM Forum Open API specifications, RESTful designs, and event-driven patterns.
- Lead the design of CDR/EDR mediation and data flow architectures to accurately capture usage from virtualized RAN infrastructure.
- Partner with engineering teams to develop microservices-based BSS components and event-driven integration patterns.
- Establish data models, entity relationships, and database schemas for billing, product, and subscriber management domains.
- Collaborate with product, finance, and commercial teams to convert pricing strategies, bundles, and promotions into technical BSS configurations.
- Support onboarding of MNO partners by designing seamless interoperability between internal BSS and external partner systems.
- Develop detailed design documentation, interface specifications, and gap analyses for internal review and external partner approval.
- Engage in pre-sales discussions, offering technical expertise on BSS scope and solution feasibility.
- Contribute to long-term BSS roadmap planning and participate in architectural governance forums.
- Oversee BSS delivery across design, development, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing phases.
- Define and enforce design standards, architectural patterns, and best practices across the engineering organization.
- Embed revenue assurance, reconciliation workflows, and regulatory compliance (e.g., TRAI, FCC, GDPR) into system designs.
- Mentor junior engineers and analysts, providing guidance on BSS domain complexities and solution design.
- Champion ongoing improvements in BSS solution quality, performance efficiency, and operational monitoring capabilities.
